more sad news...

i wasn't going to post this because i don't want to be a downer... but as i'm on the boards today i realize that i do get so much support from you ladies... and i could really use a hug.

my grandmother passed away late last night. she had been in heart failure for years, but over the past 1-2 months her health had declined progressively. last night she became very short of breath, and so we took her to the hospital so that they could keep her comfortable. about an hour after arriving she died peacefully. she was almost 94 years old, and had lived a full, healthy life. as her quality of life became worse she often said how she wished that she would die... so in a way i am relieved for her. but of course i'm so sad too...

combined with the recent death of my mentor here at school, this is just really tough to swallow right now...

I'm so sorry to hear that... As much as it is expected, or as much as we know that our loved one is no longer suffering, it is still so sad when they pass away... My thoughts are with you and your family...
