more tip questions

I know there are a million tip threads out there, but I value the wonderful and always honest opinions of you ladies...

1) Do you tip the officicant? (he/she is not a religious officant for ours)

2) Do you tip the Florist? You don't see them til after the wedding right, they set up before you get there? But do you tip them at a later point. If so how much do you think? I heard only tip the delievery guy...but i dunno i want to make sure im planning for the right tips

I think thats it... thanks for your help!!

I think you're only supposed to tip the florist's delivery guy. I think you should never tip an officiant. Maybe give a donation to their church/temple if you wanted to give something.

I only tipped the florist delivery guy. I didnt even see the florists when they set up flowers at the RH.

Officiant-i got married in a church and didnt tip, i gave the donation thats it. BUT since MIL is a big part of that church she gave the Monsignor a watch as a gift.

yes, you are suppose to tip the officient (not sure how much) , even after you give the church the 'suggested donation.' if there are any alter servers at your ceremony (church ceremony) you should tip them too. (those are $10 each).

you should also tip the florist delivery person. the one who brings the bo-ks to you. as far as the people who set up the hall, what my friends have done is, if they like the job they did they will go to the florist after the wedding & give a tip to the people who did the set up.

I wouldn't tip them since they will be getting all the money you're paying for the service but that is JMO.

THanks, I heard that if its a judge it not legal or ethical for them to take a tip anyway and most will say no...

i found out about my florist because it says it in our contract, they are really stern with not accepting tips lol

but they are charging delivery fee of like 150-200, so should i still have to tip if im paying that much for delivery already???????

Re: more tip questions

I will definitely be tipping my florist as he is a personal, long time friend of mine, and I will definitely be seeing him after the wedding. Actually, besides being the florist, he will also be a guest.

I'm getting married in a church and heard it's actually NOT proper etiquette to tip a priest.

ETA:
My florist friend is not a 'professional.' As in, he doesn't work for a floral company (anymore). He's actually a high school art teacher, but while he was getting his degree, he used to do all of the floral arrangements at the Waldorf Astoria. So he also will not have a delivery person and will be doing all the set ups himself as well.
