More Wedding drama!!!!!

i cant stand it. I have had it I am ready to call of the wedding and run away to elope!!!! My Mom calls me today to ask why I have not called one of my Aunts to tell her when the wedding is??!!! Is this something that am supposed to do. Mind you she (Aunt) has talked to several members of the family for the last 5 moths surely in that time someone has mentioned when i am getting married. My Aunt is ****ed of b/c she does not feel like she is involved in my wedding. How many people do I really have to have INVOLVED with MY (& FH) wedding. I begged him today to agree to call it off and run away but he doesnt want to. He says it going to **** more people off.

Last month my Aunt was ****sed of b/c i hadnt asked her daughter to be in the wedding. She is such a drama queen.

I am so sick of it all!!!!!!

I am soo sorry. I have that same kind of Aunt..The Drama Queen. We actually had to change our wedding date because of her. Just try and let it go. It is such a pain dealing with family when you get married. Just remeber how happy you will be on your wedding day and how all the drama will be over.

I am so sorry that you have to deal with that. Dont let anyone ruin planning your special day. I know how aggravating it is when family gets involved.

Exactly...I'm sure someone in the family mentioned to your aunt that you were getting married. Unless you speak to this aunt regularly, I don't see why you would have had to call her to tell her you were getting married.

Re: More Wedding drama!!!!!

I have seen sides of my Mom that I never knew where in her. FH & I went to Ireland in May. That is where I grew up. i guess FH didnt bend over backwards enough for her so she the next day after we got back she decided to tell me that he is not the one for me & that he was ready to settle down, I happened to be in the one in place at the time. After all as she says herself it is my mother & entitled (sp) to her opinion, she could never live with herself if she didnt say something. My Mom is very alone my Dad died very young in a car accident. one of my younger sisters moved to CA last year she is afraid she wont come home & now that I am getting married she knows that her little dream that I may move home is over. So there is a lot of things going on with her & she is taking out on me. I have lived in the US for 11 years I see my Mom about once a year.

Aww...I'm sorry

Yeah, I'm sure your mom is just lonely and you were the last one around...now she's losing you too...well, not really, but you know what I mean.

Hang in there...

I'm so sorry. It is amazing that weddings should be all about love, but they always end up so stressful.

Re: More Wedding drama!!!!!

Maybe you should just give you aunt what she wants...consult her on every little detail of you life...what toilet paper to buy...what type of underwear to wear. This way she feels involved. Or maybe she just feels like she'll never have the chance to be involved in a wedding. Remind her that hopefully eventually her daughter will get married and she can ruin her life until the wedding.

Good luck!
