Mormile Florist-Feedback

I just met with Carol Ann at Mormile, and I must say was I impressed. She designed a bouquet just as I described it, incorporating her own imagination and it is so beautiful. She let me take it home. She is the first florist I have met with, but I have to say I was blown away. You could almost see the wheels turning in her mind as she was 'designing' the bouquet. I thought her price was fair, and I think I am going to book her. (Imagine... booking a florist w/o having a wedding dress!) I was just looking for any feedback about this florist. Thanks!

I have to agree with the fact that they were a little more expensive than other florists I've visited. I got a much cheaper quote for the same flowers from Masters and Company and Silver Stems, both in RVC. Here was my experience (we met with a guy, if I recall correctly, his name was Bob). I told him exactly what I wanted in terms of flowers and the numbers, and specifically stated we did not need table centerpieces (my reception hall provides them) and we did not need altar flowers (the Church specifically requests you do not get them because they have them already). I can't tell you how many times Bob told us to get flowers for the altar. It was like he wasn't listening. Then he took us in to see a set of flowers that were being delivered to a wedding that day. I hate to say this, especially since you are booking, but this is my opinion, but the flowers on the flower girls wreath were all dead, and the roses had petals falling off left and right. They were very nicely arranged though. My wedding is also Mother's Day weekend, and when I told him we'd think about it over the weekend and get back to him, he pretty much said that we'd lose our booking because it was such a busy weekend for them. I realize that, but felt too pressured to put down a deposit. This was just my opinion only, I hope I didn't sound too harsh.

You didn't sound too harsh. I had a wonderful experience with CarolAnne. She has only been there a couple of years, and she (herself) only does 2 weddings a WEEKEND. I really liked her creativity, and she TOTALLY listened to everything I had to say. The flowers I got to take home were gorgeous, and are still as alive as last night. I am sorry you had such a bad experience. Maybe if you had met with her it would have been better. I am meeting with Flowers by Brian tomorrow night, who I am sure will be so much more $$. I can not use Flowers by Burton, b/c I must use their recommended florist (in my contract).

I booked with Mormile. 3 people I know used them and each one raved. I saw pictues of 2 of them and they were beautiful. I am meeting with Bill(the owner) next week to see a sample centerpiece. I got quotes from Flowers by Brian and Pedestals and they were all about the same. I felt most comfortable with Mormile. Bill is very nice and seems really great to work with. The roses they gave me last week are still beautiful. Good Luck!
