So we are getting married at the Old Field Club and I am planning on booking rooms at Danfords in Port Jefferson and the Residence Inn as well. As far as the morning after brunch, is someone 'supposed to' arrange for that (brides parents? grooms parents)? I am planning on having it at Danfords since most out of town guests will be there...
thanks !!!

Re: Morning after Bruch
We are planning on having that also at the hotel that everyone is staying at. I believe the bride and groom organize and pay for that themselves. I know we are

It's up to you if you want to do one, and if so, who pays. We are doing one, and my mom is hosting it.

That's what I think too. My mom is hosting mine because she lives down the block from our catering hall so whoever stays at the hotels will be invited to her house the next morning.

Re: Morning after Bruch
I think we will probably just end up having some kind of insert in the OOT bags saying something along the lines of 'The new Mr and Mrs _____ will be having breakfast at ______ from 10am to 12pm. Stop by and say hi before you leave!' or something like that.
We don't have the money for a brunch and our wedding is a Sunday so something informal like this is best for us.

Re: Morning after Bruch
I'm thinking of hosting it ourselves in the hotel the next morning, but it's EXPENSIVE! Like $20/pp for eggs! So I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do...I may have an outside caterer do it.

Re: Morning after Bruch
it all depends if you want one. no one needs to have one but we wanted to host it because we aren't paying for anything for the wedding but my dad refused so now he is paying for it too

This is our plan too - something informal for people who stayed at the hotel.
