I'm getting married at a hotel and am assuming that most people will be staying overnight...
The wedding is already costing us more than we thought and were thinking about doing a morning after brunch, but it would save us money for other things if we kind of left everyone to fend for themselves...
What do you think?
As a guest, would you expect a brunch?
Would you be annoyed if you didn't get one??
Ahh.. don't know what to do!!

I love the idea. I think it gives you a chance to see everyone again without the stress! I'm sure the hotel can coordinate something!!

The hotel can coordinate something like that but it's not exactly the most affordable thing...
I wouldn't expect one if I stayed there.. It's a nice After gesture...

My mom is doing one only for family the morning after our wedding...I don't know if that helps?

I wouldn't expect one.
My parents are hosting an 'after wedding luncheon' at their house the day after the wedding for family/friends/whoever shows up.
It's giving us an extra chance to hang out with family/friends

i dont think that it is necessary. If you dont have the budget for it I dont think you should stress it.

It isn't necessary, but it is a nice gesture. I would say if you can swing soemthing simple, do it. will your guests be traveling far to get to the wedding?

Re: Morning After Brunch
A morning after Brunch is a nice idea but not necessary at all. I definitly dont think it is expected but might be something some people hope for... at the end of the day ... you did just throw the party of the year, what more could anyone want?!?

Re: Morning After Brunch
I don't think anyone would be offended. For the couples that stary at the hotel after our wedding we will all probably go out to breakfast but we are not paying for everyone. Kind of like hey we are going to ... for breakfast.

It's definitely not necessary! As a guest, I wouldn't even expect it. Very nice to have if you have the extra money in your budget though.

Re: Morning After Brunch
I think it is nice but I don't expect it! A lot of hotels will do complimentary breakfast and everyone can meet up there and sit together... this is what they did at a friend's wedding. Although a lot of people didn't wake up on time for it lol. But at least they didn't pay for it and have a lot of people not show up. I don't think it's something you have to feel obligated to do... people understand how much shelled out for the night before why should it go into the next day! Just my opinion!
