Morning after brunch for Sunday night wedding?

Morning after brunch for Sunday night wedding?

Hi ladies, so we're having a Sunday evening wedding and have a good number of OOT guests (probably about 30-50% of the wedding). So, how many of you are having brunches the next day? And do you think it's necessary for a Sunday evening wedding? I know a lot of the guests may go to work the next day, but I'm thinking a good portion of them may not if they're staying overnight. Please help! I need to know if this is yet another thing I need to start planning.

we are having a backyard BBQ at my parents house afterwards, for anyone that wants to come and hang by the pool and have a few drinks and hang w/ the newlyweds :) haha

I'd love to do that, but our house is about 50mins away from the wedding and/or hotel so that's not really feasable. I'm thinking of maybe my MOH's house b/c her and her fiance just bought a house in Huntington and that's only about 30mins from the hotel, but I feel like I'd be imposing on her if I asked to have it there. Hmmmm....Do you think 20-30mins is too far to make ppl travel for a next day brunch?

we thought about having a brunch after (sat night wedding) we decided against it and I am glad we did. It would have been a waste of money. I had about 50% or more of OOT. They all got up and headed home. OUr OOT were all family too.....they really all just wanted to get on the road.

I personally dont think you need to worry about one. But your family may be different....try to fell out people and see if they would stay for one.

like my mom always says about everything, if they want to be apart they will make the attempt to be there.
i would ask your MOH if she would allow you to use her house and u provide everything (just using her house cause i'ts closer) but if she is hesitiant i would consider it at ur house, or maybe ur parents or FH's parents? .

Thanks alli3131. I think I will feel them out.

And maybe I will feel out my MOH. Also, if she's hesitant then maybe we can approach his cousin who also lives somewhat close in Dix Hills. Our parents both live just too far away to be an option.

Me and FH decide on doing a breakfast the next day. We are also having a sunday wedding. Me and FH loves breakfast lol. We know for sure at least 15 people will show up for the 10am breakfast. That's enough people for us. As around and see who would be into that first. But if you have a high percentage of people staying at the hotel then I am sure they will be hungry the next day. Good luck

We are. But our wedding is on a holiday weekend (monday is the holiday). We're doing it at the hotel and FILs are footing the bill (it was their idea and a lot of the OOTers will be their fam).

We are having a Saturday afternoon/evening wedding.

We should be back to our hotel by 8.....I am not doing an 'after party' as it would just be too costly. However, the hotel has a bar and I'm sure we will all be hanging out afterwards.

My plan is to do breakfast Sunday morning for those staying in the hotel, OOT guests and even anyone who wants to come back for breakfast.

I think it would be a good idea for those who remain on Monday. Maybe you can check to see when most of your OOT guests will be leaving and plan it around that. That way you don't plan something and everyone is getting ready to go.

We are having a brunch around noon the day after (monday) at FIL's. It is for mainly immediate family, OOT guests and bridal party. Whoever comes comes. It gives us a chance to saty bye to everyone since we are leaving the next morning for HM.
