morning from H E L L

Let me preface by saying I live in Philly and work in Princeton, NJ so on a good day it takes about an hour and fifteen to get to work...

Left for work today at 7AM (my normal time) and the pennsylvania tpke was blocked off so I had to take detours and follow traffic - well, I got lost... I was still wandering at 9:40 and told my job that i wouldn't make it in b/c I was lost and was just oging to go home... took me a total of 4 hours to get back to my house!!!! between the highway and tpke being closed, the oddest detours imaginable and just getting lost b/c I have NO sense of direction - this was the morning from hell!!! I started thinking about how i would get to NJ but i really have no clue -- i only know my one route to work and slightly know an alternate - but i've never done it and it requires me to go thru the city (not a good idea for me) and then taking route 1 from PA thru to NJ -- which would take about 2 hours on a good day - so i can only imagine how it would have been today. the worst part is that since we live in a valley they closed off all direct roads leading to my house so what would have be 2 miles and a couple of minutes took me over an hour!!!!! So happy to be moving back to LI where it's all level and flat!!! :)

well, at least I'm home and can spend the day with you girls!! and not have to worry about my boss catching me on the site!!

hope the rest of the day is not that bad. everytime i go to the jersey shore, i wind up in philly somehow. that southern area is too confusing for me.

That's so funny because it happens to me, my friends and my family all the time! I live in Northern New Jersey, have been here for 2+ years, and I still have trouble even navigating the NJ Turnpike!!!! I feel like the roads here are so difficult. There's an area where I live that you need to drive south to get to the north-bound turnpike.

Sorry you had a bad morning ntunison, but I'm jealous that I'm not at home!
