Morning Of/Getting Ready Food

Morning Of/Getting Ready Food

I need to figure out what to feed my girls.
What is everyone serving?

I figured to get mini muffins, croissants, and fruit.
Juices and coffee.
I am debating getting bagels? Will the bagels be too heavy. Wraps?

We are starting to get ready around 8am , leaving my place at 1pm, and getting to the hall around 4. Cocktail hour starts at 6pm.

I'm probably going to have fruit, mini muffins, cheese, juice, tea/coffee (will def need that)! And if I have bagels, they will be cut into fours (bite size) so ppl won't eat too much - my friend did that & I did it for my sisters wedding - it wasn't too heavy

Mini muffins, cut up fruit, cheese and crackers, coffee/tea/water and a mimosa bar!

We had turkey wraps/croissants-I took the turkey off and just rolled it up and ate that. I recommend something with protein!!!

I'm gonna do Bagels and Muffins, Juice/Mimosas lol I know bagels are kind of heavy but everyone loves them and It will fill everyone up since between getting ready, pictures, and the ceremony everyone should be starving by cocktail hour lol

I think they are going to need something significant to eat if you are leaving your house at 1 and then they are not eating again till 6pm. I would suggest either bagels or wraps!

Of the two weddings I've been in, one was bagels and coffee (father of the bride did a breakfast run and brought it to the salon while we were getting our hair and makeup done)and the other she had a platter of wraps at the house to pick on. And call me fat but I dont think a (whole) bagel is heavy at all! lol If you are getting up early for hair & makeup, you wont be eating again until cocktail hour which is usually around dinner time if it's a night wedding. I wouldnt worry about it too much or ask your girls what they prefer.

Thanks ladies.
I plan on eatting, but really drinking after a certain time.
I think I might buy some sliced turkey and they can make sandwiches on the bagels/croissants or eat it plain.

I also need to buy for the guys since they are getting ready at his brothers house and I don't want extra work for his wife

Last summer my SIL got us egg sandwiches from a bagel place and it was perfect to keep us going. I was worried when I ate it that it would be too much but it worked well. It might not be cost effective if you have a lot of people, she only had three bridesmaids, but it was filling enough to keep us going until cocktail hour.

For my sister's wedding, mom and I went to Costco and bought croissants, fruit, OJ & Champagne for mimoasas, and then she just got some wraps, pretzles, and sodas to put out for lunch- Then we just went into my town to pick up mini bagels, butter, and CC from the bagel store & my mom made coffee- That should be more than enough food... We were gonna make eggs that morning rather than get bagels, but it is so much of an easier clean-up

At my friend's wedding everyone ate a very light breakfast you know women always watching their weight.. but halfway through pictures everyone was starving and were passing around bags of chips and pretzels LOL so I would say go for the bagels! maybe cut them in half so half of a bagel and a piece of fruit could be a good breaktfast.

We are doing croissants, mixed fruit, and different drinks (alcoholic and non). My mom and I might bake different breads (cranberry nut bread, pound cake, banana bread, etc) too, since we are doing that for the OOT bags.

I agree! They will need to eat something if they are waking up early and not eating until 6pm!

What about something early - coffee, juice, fruits, yogurt
then mini wraps or something for before you guys leave

Also had apps delivered to fh bc I knew the boys would drink so I wanted them to at least have something in their bellies. Once we got to east wind, we then had mini pizzas and chicken fingers to hold over until cocktail hour.
