Mortgage Approval

Ok...so how haed is it to get approved for a mortgage? What are the necessary steps
/ Anyone know any programs available for first time home buyers?

Mortgage approval is not a hard process, but what you get approved for varies.
You'll need to give the following to your broker/lender:
- a copy of your W-2 for the past year of 2
- two months worth of the most recent pay stubbs
- financial info (bank statements, stock holdings etc)

You typically need to have have more than 2 months worth of mortgage payments in the bank available after closing costs as a 'reserve' (this is not escrow)

It varies from lender to lender.
