Mortgage freak out!

Is it just me or is it when you start the whole mortgage thing they rush you like crazy to make copies of everything- and then get you crazy with all the phone calls like it should have been done yesterday by the bank/mortgage broker? I am so overwhelmed and spent the day walking around with a migraine. My attorney tells me he is looking out for our best interest but it still freaks me out. It is hard. I am buying my sister out of her half of the house- my mom and dad have both passed so this is bittersweet for me. Thanks for letting me vent!

Yes, I thought the hunting was bad. But the mortgage part turned out to be far worse.

Just hang in there... it will be worth it in the end.

Re: Mortgage freak out!

I was on vacation this week THANK GOD. I spent all day Mon tue and wed on the phone with the lawyers and mortgage people. I was so mentally drained that I was wishing I was at work.
I felt like a switch board operator by wed afternoon. I think I was on the phone and faxing for close to 6hrs.

I need a vacation from my vacation

Thanks for letting me know I am not losing my head! I had 3 hours of sleep last night and I am exhausted.

Re: Mortgage freak out!

Don't stress out too much about the broker/bank. Remember, these folks want your business and need to cater to you. If one is putting too much pressure on you, threaten to go elsewhere - they'll change their tune very quickly. The reason why they want to rush through everything is because they'll get their $$$$ sooner.

Re: Mortgage freak out!

I'm sorry! While driving to my closing in FLorida from Texas my guy called like a million times asking for paperwork he already had but I guess never really looked through it!
It was one of the most annoying experiences of my life as well as unerving. I don't understand how these guys work.
So don't feel bad because even if you have done everything they still like to call and freak out!
