Mortgage Payments?

Is it normal to have monthly mortgage payments over $2000 including all property taxes and insurance? When I went on bankrate.com and put a budgeting in, it told me my housing costs were higher than average. This scares me. Is this really uncommon?

it depends on the price of the house and how much you put down

and the interest rate- I would assume most would be over $2K given the area

ours is about $2800....scary, isnt it!! But worth it!

Mine is $1130 for mortgage. We pay taxes ($700) and insurance ($725) yearly. Then again I live in Chicago.

I wish ours is $2000! We'll be paying $3500 a month with tax & insurance

Well mine won't be $2000! It'll be more like $2600 with everything.
