My Husband and I have started looked for homes. We are going to try and get a pre-approval on Fri after work. I don't know why but I am sooooo worried that we won't get pre approved or that we will not get pre approved for enough. I am a teach on LI and make a decent salary. Has anyone had a problem getting pre approved???

Some of the factors they consider:
You income to debt ratio. How much more do you make than you owe?
You credit score. They take the lower score of the two people. If you or your husband is over 740, you should have no problem. That is what the mortgage lender told us.
FH and I had no problem. We both had very good credit and low debt.
