Mosquito Repellant?

Mosquito Repellant?

I went to Fire Island this weekend for my bachelorette party and had the BEST time! But I also got eaten alive by the mosquitos. I actually have 'skeeter syndrome' so not only do I get itchy from bites, they actually swell up to the size of a grapefruit and they are painful!

I really want to avoid having any mosquito bites for my wedding day. Anyone know any good tricks to keep them away? Or should I just stay indoors for the entire week leading up to my wedding?

TIA!

I have the same thing. I sleep in a net at night (I know it's extreme but I had to go to the hospital a few times because of the bites).

The best thing I find is to try and expose as less skin as possible. Also buy a few of those clip on mosquito repellents. I usually wear 3 at a time lol

I actually just bought one of those and was going to try it out. I usually wear Off bug spray all summer, but clearly that didn't help this weekend!

A friend was just telling me that her friend wears citronella bracelets. I have no idea where/how to buy them, but apparently they work and they do exist.

I've heard rubbing yourself with dryer sheets (or keeping them in your pockets) works. I've also heard that rubbing mouthwash works but I think you'd smell 'weird'.

I have the same problem. I usually spray off every few hours and also wear a bracelet.
