Most disgusting disgusting that ever disgusted

Most disgusting disgusting that ever disgusted

I am still traumatized - greatly. Disgusting. This morning I woke up and turned on the water and reached for my toothbrush........only to notice something brown on the bristles (ON THE BRISTLES!). I thought to myself - ewww did I really have something that big stuck in my teeth last night (as my half awake brain tried to think of all the items I had eaten the night before).

As I picked up the toothbrush, the brown started to move.

It was an earwig. Only the most disgusting insect to ever walk to earth (OK i think that is a cockroach or a milipede, but pretty damn close). And it was resting on the BRISTLES of my toothbrush.

So to make a long story short, that toothbrush is in the trash and I will be storing my new toothbrush IN the medicine cabinet - or maybe in a plastic bag IN the medicine cabinet from now on (and not in the shiny stainless steel toothbrush holder).

EWWW EWWWW EWWWWW

Oh eww- nice pic.
I once took a spoon out of the drainboard, and there was an earwig on it! I agree- definitely iin the top 3 nasties.

I hear tthat you should store your toothbrush away or covered anyway, because every time someone goes #2, there are particles of it floating around. And even more when you flush. That's what you breathe in when you can smell it, and it's all over your toothbrush.
Nasty.

jeez Louise Suz...I would have died.

when you first started talking about brown and moving...I feared the ULTIMATE worst (a lil mouse) but that is a close second.

I'd take a roach over that ANY day (I guess that's the 'city' in my LOL)

I am so sorry you had to wake up to that...but at least you were awake enough to notice BEFORE you applied the toothpaste!

I would have screamed. So loudly. I can handle bugs and vermin - from afar. But not in my face.

Because I have already reached my traumatized max for the day - I am going to choose to ignore this fact and not think that this could be true. Ewww. But when I go to the drugstore later I am buying me AND dh beautiful new toothbrushes with covers.

Yes - earwig is one of the most nasty nasties ever. Meanwhile, I searched the entire bathroom for other earwigs and there were none. Just the one little sucker who thought it would be a good idea to sleep on my toothbrush (i chose to think he JUST discovered my toothbrush and did not previously nap there)

I made DH give me a big hug (he was sleeping - poor guy) while I whined. I wonder if he used his toothbrush - it was right next to mine Earwig could have TOTALLY tested his out first - before settling in on mine

Our apartment seems to get more ghetto by the moment - I can't wait for January 3! (once we (and by we I mean me cause DH has horrific credit) get the mortgage finalized and are in the house (so nothing can go wrong) I am thinking I will also be looking for a new job )

I just got back from Eckerd - I got a bunch of toothbrushes and a pack of three (very pretty colored) toothbrush covers.

Perfect- now you still get to use your pretty TB holder.
I store my toothbrushes in the toilet tank. Cuts out the middle man.
