They can be funny, amusing, wacky - and I know I point them out when I see good ones to others in the car (or the occasional one that I have no idea what it is trying to say). So the QOTD is - do you have a novelty/personalized license plate? If so, what does it say? Would you get one, if so what would it say?
FH says they are lame, and he would never get one. I would only get one if I had some creativity and could think of a genius one (obviously I do not - as illustrated by my uber-boring LIW screenname )

I don't think I'd ever get one. I get annoyed when I can't make out what it says right away. But if I were forced to have one, I guess I'd make it say FUK YU (for all of the bad drivers).

I don't think they let you get dirty ones I remember reading this story of a guy who got 'NOPLATE' as his to be funny - but he started getting a ton of parking tickets - cause he got all the tickets for all the cars with no license plates!

I'm sure really clever, secret dirty ones can get by! I'm too lazy to think of one though - oh well standard license plate for me.

I think they're borderline cheesy and can't understand people who use their name. Much like you Suz, if I could think of a super duper clever one, I'd prob go for it (my LIW name is a clear example of how boring I am!!). My DH got one down here...but it's 'cause he got a 'NY' saying...makes him happy!

Why do I find mullets so amusing? Last Sunday we were looking at houses and saw a young kid (8 maybe) with a rattail! FH of course is staring and giggling to himself

No I am so gonna get it for FH one of these occasions - I remember seeing at urbn outfitters years ago. SO FUNNY!

I have one and it was meant to be a joke, making fun of my BIL/SIL's vanity plate about their kids. Ours is about our DOGS!
