Of all the exotic and foreign places we've been, the most romantic was Bar Harbor, Maine!!!! I think it was because we were so isolated from other people and just spent every moment alone together! It was an amazing trip!

When we had a beach house in Fire Island we would go out for a week just us 2 and it was wonderful!!! No one is really there

We live in Northern Calif. FH took me to Napa for a weekend, booked spas visits, appointments at wineries and a wonderful dinner out. We stayed at a B&B with only 4 guest rooms, in an amazing suite-- if you ever go to Napa check out the Crossroads Inn. We had a private balcony, hot tub in the room, and they wheel in your breakfast on a fancy tray.
He brought me a gift for every day of that trip and told me he loved me for the first time. We are getting married on our 3rd anniversary from that trip. I will NEVER forget it

We go to PA to visit his mom. Its not really a romantic getaway, but she lives in the Pocono's and its so nice to sit out on her deck just me and him having coffee and relaxing or in the morning sitting on the deck having breakfast and seeing the deer. We also go on scenic drives when we are there and its so nice to see the folage in the fall, the blankets of snow in the winter, the beautiful flowers in the spring and the warm summer breezes in the summer time. Its so peaceful

When we got engaged in St. Barts last year! FH surprised me with the trip AND the proposal!! I don't think it gets more romantic than that!
but we just went to Spain, and even though his mom was in the house with us...with no tv...computer...etc...we spent all night (up b/c of jetlag) talking and reconnecting...
now DH's hates the TV
next would be when we went to Montauk after our wedding...then our HM in Menorca

our trip up to the condo in Stratton, VT. I we love walking around, and then coming back to snuggle up to teh fire place and watch movies all night.

Ours would have to a trip out to Montauk. He took me for my birthday which is in Oct so it was really quiet out there and we stayed at Montauk Manor which was wonderful!! went to the light house, browsed the shops, it was just us and it was amazing

Our driving trips to New Hampshire. We go the mountains and it takes about 7-8 hours of driving. We really get to talk and have fun without any of the regular nonsense of day to day life. Then, once we are there we are in such a peaceful place that all the stress just leaves.

A weekend trip we took to Montauk. We just got up and left spontaneously one morning and ended up at the Montauk Manor. It was off season....we just had the most amazing time enjoying eachothers company while spending the night in this extroadinary mansion!

My FI has a habit of telling me to pack an overnight bag and then taking me somewhere for the night. This weekend it was Memphis. We put the top down on his vette, under the moonlight and just drove. Then partied all night on Beale Street. I think it is anywhere we go spontaneously. It is always romantic.

definately Montauk for me (us). We've been to a few places together but Montauk always holds a special place in our hearts (FH first told me he loved me there ) We can't wait to go back on our one year anniversary next year
