Mother...

Mother...

ok so ive been thinkin...my mom raised my brother and i as a single mother with barely any help from my father so i want her to have a special place in the weddin....i was close to havin her walk me down the aisle but since i still talk to my dad and everything i decided to have him....im releasin butterflies at the end of the ceremony and i am goin to ask my mom to be the one to do that also i was thinkin of askin her to be my maid of honor.....i have friends i could put but i really want my mom to be a big part of my wedding....has anyone had their mom as maid/matron of honor? any suggestions?

my dad is around... but , my mom raised me and did everything for me while i was growing up.. . and still does. So i'm having a mother/ daughter dance and having her walk me down the aisle. she deserves it alot more! good luck!

great idea. OR she could walk you down the aisle as well. i had my mom walk with me and my dad.

I was going to have her walk me down...but my dad wants to be involved to....its not like i dont talk to him anymore just choose not to be that close for several reasons...he even mentioned when at first with eng party plannin if i was havin him or my stepfather walk me down and i felt so bad that he would even say that...and i could tell he was upset he really wanted to walk me...so i think makin my mom moh and havin her release butterflies at the end cause thats somethin she was excited about me havin but she doenst know shes releasin them would be ok

i think it's sweet, but just remeber your mother is already going to be a very big part of your day because she is the mother of the bride. I think having her walk with you and your dad and having a mother daughter dance would be great. Maybe even have her do someting in the ceremony.

For the MOH thing- i guess it depends on how your mother is, i asked my mom to walk me down the aisle and she didn't want to, she's very traditional and thought my brother should do it. (FYI- my mom raised me, father is passed away).

I already mentioned to my mother about her bein MOH and she was thrilled....but she said it was up to me....cause i didnt ask her jsut had drama with someone i was considerin moh once i mentioned her bein she had a huge smile and her face just glowed so i know she would love to be

my mom is my maid of honor and im having a mother/daughter dance with her. my grandma is walking me down the aisle since i never met my dad and she was my dad growing up
