I'm going to do a mother/daughter dance instead of a father/daughter dance. Any suggestions on songs?

We are doing Times of Your Life by Paul Anka... I think that is the name.

In my daughter's eyes by Martina Mcbride. My dad passed away and I think I will do this song with my mom.

I want it to be a surprise to my mom also. She still has no clue that she's walking me down the aisle.

Re: Mother Daughter Dance
my mom and i have this 'thing' whenever we go to parties/weddings we dance to fast songs together. She's so tiny that i twirl her around and we kinda/sorta/not really swing dance (its hard to explain) but we have SO much fun. I was thinking of maybe doing a fast song.Does this make sens? Over the past few years she got sick w/ diff stuff and each time has pulled through it like a champ including her last battle with what the dr's thought was lung cancer - she went through surgery and it's not cancer - thank GOD. So to me a sad song would remind us of all the bad sh*t she's been through but a fast song would be super fun. Am i making sense?

I LOVE that song. Our first dance song is to a song by Stevie Wonder. Would that be weird to have two?

I love it!!! I WISH FH would want to do something like that. Unless it to the voices from his headset on Call Of Duty he's not interested. HAHAAHAH

YES! My mom and I both LOVE the Bee Gees. She use to play it to me while I was in her tummy. So if we are out and they are playing we dance our a$$es off... so maybe more then a woman?

Re: Mother Daughter Dance
A real tear jerker mother daughter dance is Celine Dion's 'goodbyes the saddest word'
That IS, if you want to go down that route. If you want to do something upbeat and fun there are sooo many songs out there that you can pick! Really.

We were going to use that but I really like 'You and I' so that's what we're using.

Re: Mother Daughter Dance
I did both a father daughter dance, and a mother daughter dance. MY parents are divorced and i had to keep it equal between the both of them.
