I am doing it cuz my mom and dad divorced when i was eight, he then passed when i was 18. She basically raised us alone so I chose 'Wind beneath my Wings' from Beaches.

she does not know it yet....I am doing wind beneath my wings (and it goes with my butterfly theme too). I am giving her a lenox music box as gif too. I have been listening to it at least once a week, and I am still getting teary...10 months to stop it!!!!
My parents are divorced and my dad will be an active part of my wedding but mom and I are REALLY close and we want to have a mother/daughter dance too. Not sure if we want to do something slow or fast though. She loves the song Angel by Lionel Richie so we might try to come up with something for that song.
My mom and I are using 'I Hope You Dance.' My sister and my mom danced to 'Because You Loved Me' at her wedding.
My friend danced with her mom to 'Momma' by Boyz 2 Men. There was not a dry eye in at the wedding when they danced to this.
My friend danced with her mom to Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' and there was not a dry eye in the place. Her mom didn't know about the dance and my friend made a little speech about how much her mom means to her and then asked her to dance. Very Touching!!!
I will also be dancing with my mother (father is not in the picture) to I Hope You Dance by Leann Womack...it's perfect for the both of us!
