Mother Daughter dance and groom and almost mom dance
So my father left my mother and I when I was very young, and he has never been in the pic for more than a few months at a time. I will not give him the honor of giving me away or the father dance, that honor is reserved for my mother (who played both roles).
However I have no idea what song to dance, any ideas?
While you are at it, my FH mom died almost 9 years ago and he is very close to two older ladies, his moms best friend and the mother of his best man. Both ladies have been like moms to him and he will like to share the mother-son dance, but again we have no idea what song...any ideas?

I posted something similar..Fh is dancing with his stepmom, whom he's known since he was born..and the girls reccomender My Wish by Rascal Flats...it's a beautiful song.

me too! my dad has never been around I need a good song for my mom...our song has always been somewhere out there so we might dance to that but well see

My Mother says when she hears Wind Beneath My WIngs she always thinks of me so thats my first idea.
I hope you dance by Leanne Womack is always a good one. Thats what my husband & his mom danced to.
I've always loved IceCream by Sarah McLaughlin too but that might be a little too whimsical and not serious enough.
And Martina McBride In my Daughters Eyes is another one I saw someone else post

I had a similar situation! My mom walked me down the aisle and I danced with her. We danced to 'Forever Young' by Rod Stewart....The lyrics are great!!!!! It was my moms pick.

MY Dad and I danced to 'I Loved her First' by Heartland. It's a beautiful song, and would be fitting for you and your mom. My husband and his mom danced to 'You're the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me' by Gladys Knight. It was her request, because that's what she always told him growing up.

I had the same situation with my father....i danced with my mom to 'The wind beneath my wings'..it's always been my song to her - the lyrics are absolutely beautiful & completely describes our relationship. As for ur FH, what about something like 'Thankyou for loving me' by bon jovi or maybe 'because u loved me' by celine dion?? 'Through the years' by kenny rogers is another great one...'You Raise me up' by josh groban??? hope this helps!
