We have parent flowers and I just realized corsages are ordered for the mothers...... doesn't that seem strange? For the life of me, I can't find ONE picture of a corsage that doesn't look like it belongs at a prom (on the wrist, with that ugly organza ribbon)!
Do the mothers wear flowers pinned to them, kind of like the boutonnieres, but larger?

The only person I got a corsage for is the grandmother of FH. She likes them. For my mother, my MIL, and FH Step mother, I ordered bouquets...They are basically a miniature version of the bridesmaids bouquets. I don't like Corsages and think they are really outdated. FH Grandmother thinks they are beautiful though lol

My mother wants a mini bouquet instead and FH's mother wants a corsage with the wrist band because she wants to wrap it around her evening bag.

we got both mom's 'posy' bouquets and only got a corsage for DH's grandma. I wasn't a fan of having corsages for the moms

My mom will not wear a corsage..it has passed it's expiration date. She wants one Calla Lilly wrapped like a small bouquet

We did corsages for my mom, FMIL, and grandmothers because my mom ane both grandmothers use canes. It would be too awkward for them to have to hold anything.

i guess i'll be the odd man out - but i thougt haveing my mom and my MIL carry BoK's would be to reminiscent of a bridal party/bride...so each got her own corsage - they each got to pick their flowers and it was a wristlet. I didn't really think about this too much becaue each requested this too. i don't think this is too 1980-ish or too prom like, its a wedding and some things are bound to look old fashioned, but IMO, its just traditional.

We did mini bouquets for the mom's and corsages for the grandmas
My mom did not want a corsage. We got her and MIL nosegays (like mini Bo-ks). We gave corsages to the readers, my aunt that sang at the church, and the grandmothers

My mom said that she didn't want to seem like she was part of the wedding party so she wanted a corsage, as did my stepmom, my MIL, the grandmothers, and one of my readers.
I guess I come from an old school traditional family!

Is it strange that I didn't get corsages or flowers?
My mom said she did not want one and I decided to just cut them out to save money. I also hate the way they look. (just my opinion)
