I have to tell you I am in the exact same place with my FMIL. She's a wonderful lady and I love her, but she makes comments sometimes that kill me!!! She criticised our whole bridal registry, china pattern, crystal, everything.
I'm a planner too, and have gotten so much done. Personally I think they criticize because they wish they could play a more active role. FH have done everything together, and whatever he hasn't helped with I've done with my mom. So maybe they just feel left out??? Its their way of putting their 2 cents in? I don't know, this is how I have to get myself over it. I wouldn't say anything, because it may cause friction between you and FH. I'm holding my tongue because I don't want FH to get in the middle! Best of luck to you, I COMPLETELY understand what you're going through.

WOW i dont feel alone! Thanx......He is a mamas boy so i must keep some comments about her to me & my mom! LOL
MY mom has been wonderful she dosen't butt in and everything i do is perfect in her eyes, she just wants to make it easier on me...I hope one day the FMIL will get a grip and CHILL OUT!

so is my MIL.... we actually did that thing with the map like on Raymond when they were looking for their house......ya know... this zone will warratn daily visits, this zone is far enough for overnighs!!!

Yes, lets hope they'll chill out one of these days!!! My FH is a mama's boy too so I go to my mom w/ all my complaints too!!!
