Re: Mother of Bride Dresses
you should try boutiques rather than bridal stores...there are a couple on Steinway Street in Astoria that have formal dresses for older ladies that don't look too dowdy

Re: Mother of Bride Dresses
my mom was looking for something a little different and ended up getting her dress at My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck.
She looked everywhere though! Good luck with your search

Re: Mother of Bride Dresses
My mom and DH's got theirs at Nordstroms. They were able to find it in both the stores and online and both were $200 or less. I didn't care for FMIL's but c'est la vie!

Nordstroms and Bloomingdales have nice dress. There is also Totally You in Bellmore. My mom and a few of her friends found their dresses there. Oh and Renate's in Lindenhurst!

They have to have a Macy's in Penn! Try the formal section of a department store....even Ann Taylor is making formal strides.
the bridal gardenin bethpage had nice long length dresses with jackets. my mom got one from there.

Go to Estelles. My Mom went this past week and found tons of Mon Cheri Montage dresses. They are GORGEOUS! And they have a huge selection of other brands as well.

Oh crap. I didn't see that she lives in PA. What part of PA- I can tell you which stores to go to. We had a summer place there for years and I know a lot of the places there.
