Re: Mother of the Bride dress
Mom and I looked a lot online. Then we ventured to some department stores and finally to bridal salons. My Mom isn't the most comfortable in dresses and ultra formal things, she's def. a pants and suit kinda lady. We found her a very lovely gown that is dressy but not over the top for her.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress
My Mom is refusing to look still b/c she wants to lose weight. But, my Mom is hypothyroid, so I'm really confused that she is just going to put it off as long as possible and then be really depressed when she finally goes shopping (she has a terrible time losing weight).
The order of purchasing dresses for me has been me first, then mother of the groom, then bridesmaids, and my Mom is gonna be last.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress
You should definitely go first - bridal gowns take the longest to come in and to find.
I went first, than my BMs, and now we are looking for my mom. My FMIL is from OOT and will be looking on her own. The only other person is my grandmother and we found her dress off the rack at Macy's.
