Mother of the Bride dress question...

My mom got a dress... I'm not sure if the style is appropriate for our evening wedding. It's 3/4 length dress with a layered floral design, with a long Chiffon jacket. She really likes it, but she doesn't want to wear the wrong style. I personally don't care, but she wants your opinion! Thanks!

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

It sounds nice. What colors are in the floral print? I think as long as the colors dont clash with your girl's colors, it sounds like it is formal enough to wear to the wedding.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

I think the MOB should wear a floor length gown for an evening wedding unless your wedding is more casual than most.

Floral prints and 3/4 lengths are more appropriate for guests or day weddings in my opinion.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

I think it sounds nice, as long as she feels comfortable in it and she loves it. I think nowadays almost anything goes with a few exceptions of course, and of course you have to like it also.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

Althought I like a full length dress for an evening wedding I think 3/4 is fine if that is what she is comfortable with. Also, both Moms should wear the same length gown. The floral pattern is fine for a summer wedding.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

she should wear what she is comfy in. My mom is kinda plump and has a hard time finding things she likes in the first place....plus she's not one for beads and things. So I told her to please wear whatever makes her feel pretty. She might even go for a pantsuit - and my wedding is SUPER formal. I just want her to feel happy and like herself.

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

i agree with jenny, she should wear what she feels comfortable in. as long as she feels beautiful who cares if she shows a little leg and isn't in a ballgown?

Re: Mother of the Bride dress question...

I agree with most everyone who said that she shuld be comfortable and look & feel good in it... Besides, I'm sure she's probably going to get her hair & makeup done, wear fancy shoes & jewelry, and have her MOB flowers -- all of which will 'dress up' her outfit.

I'm sure she'll look great in it!
