Mother of the Bride Dresses

Does anyone know of any vendors/stores that carry nice dresses for Mother of the Bride? I've been to a few places, and we can't seem to find anything without a lot of beading and 'old looking.' Please help.

Thanks

Re: Mother of the Bride Dresses

I'll be ordering this dress for my daughters October wedding. The picture really does it no justice. But in person, its beautiful. I'm not wearing the blue, mine will be eggplant color.
I'm getting it from the wedding center in commack. Its a very flattering gown. I knew what style I wanted and they had it. The beading is not alot, very subdude. This gown did it for me being on the heavy side and short. It looks like its a 2 piece gown but its really one.

Give them a try if you haven't already. Just make sure you get everything written down as far as alteration prices, etc. However, I will be buying my gown from them but bringing it to an outside seamstress.

Good luck! Keep me posted!

check out www.Jovani.com
There are TONS of beautiful & unique MOB dresses on there. Then find a store nearby in the search that carries the Jovani line.

My mother, grandmother and 2 aunts all got their dresses in Totally You in Merrick at 3001 Merrick Rd right off the Wantagh Parkway - Phone: (516) 785-6533

I don't think they have a website - trust me, my mom looked everywhere and that's where she got her dress, shoes, pocketbook. My grandmother and aunts went from Commack there b/c of the price and selection.

My mother got a Jovani dress that was gorgeous and NOT old looking at all!
Good luck!

PS- is your last name TAN? because that's my married name!

I know this is not local but my Mom and Aunts have never walked into this store to look without leaving with a gown. The boutique is named Ivory in Staten Island on New Dorp Lane. They have a lot of really beautiful gowns in all different styles and the women are very helpful.
