Does anyone have any ideas where I can take FMIL to look at dresses. They would have to be reasonably and sell small sizes as she is probably a 0 dress size.
Do you think that estelles dressy dresses would have enough of a selection?

They definitely have a large selection, but a lot of the dresses are very youthful. Check out Totally You in Bellmore! My mom got her dress from there.

I also vote for Totally You - that's where my mom bought hers. You order from them.
But Estelle's is great too - MIL got her dress there and she looked great. You can also try Sugarplum in Lynbrook.

My FMIL got her dress at Estelles.
We got my grandmother's dress on nordstrom.com - I highly recommend looking there. You can order $200 worth of merchandise and get free shipping. Then you can return unwanted dresses to the store!

My mom got her dress at Estelles for $100 and she also found shoes and jewelery. It's so pretty, and she's also a size 0.

Lord & Taylor is a great place to look. Garden city is one of the top dress stores, NYC has even more. NYC also just opened a Bridal department (the website also has bridal)... My mother plans on looking at L&T.
I work in the Lord & Taylor buying office...for Dresses!

Off the rack, but you have the option to order as well.
