So last night I am writing out all my Mother's Day cards and I am sitting and crying. I got so emotional. I was thinking to myself I hope one day someone will be able to send me a Mother's Day card. It just hit me hard. Anyone else feel this way as Mother's Day is approaching?

of course I get emotional, because I am praying I will be a mom, or at least preggo before Mother's Day comes, but not this year

I guess I've been lucky and it hasn't hit me yet. My friend had a baby Monday and another friend is having her baby today...plus I'm plannign a shower for 2 of my other friends so I guess I'm just wrapped up with their mommy-hood and not thinking of my own.

That is nice that you have happy things to focus on. I am happy for other people I just guess this is the first Mother's Day where I can actually say wow I can be a Mom real soon too and since it has not happpend yet it just hit me real hard. Congrats to your friends by the way. They will get to celebrate there 1st Mother's Day

Its so strange you bring up this subject
I was in Hallmark yesterday and buying up a bunch of Mother's Day cards for family and friends, and it did sadden me for a little bit that I wasn't yet a Mommy . I so was not personalizing Mother's Day this year up until that point, and was surprised at my emotional reaction!
The kicker for whatever reason was when I saw a few younger men looking through the cards saying 'Happy Mother's Day to my Wife' ... and I actually got a little teary because I could so envision my DH there, looking for the perfect card for me, and I guess for a split second I was sad , yet hopeful, that by this time next year this WILL be the case for us
That said, I am generally NOT bothered by Mother's Day and I fully intent to celebrate it with DH's and my Mom's.. but I guess when you are TTC its only normal to feel a litte 'pang' when this day approaches
Good Luck to all of us - I truly hope we are ALL on 'the other side' this time next year!

This is what got me too. I think because I feel like I'm letting DH down by not getting preggo....

Oh, reading that brought tears to my eyes (must be PMS... another month not preggo!)
Here's hoping next Mother's Day is a GREAT one for all of us, where we are either holding babies or comparing big bellies!
