mothers day gift ideas?

i know im a little ahead of myself, but....im trying to decide what to give my mom and step mom for mothers day. here were some of my thoughts:

flowers
gift certif for manicure / pedicure / massage
photo album / collage
make her dinner / take her out for dinner

i read on another post about the jar filled with notes or memories, but i dont think im going to do that.



i dont have a lot of money since im saving for the wedding and a college student (living off of loans) so im going for meaningful gifts that dont cost a lot

did people give their FMIL mothers day gifts while they were still engaged?
