Nope - FH takes care of all of that for every holiday, birthday etc.

oh lizlen, im sorry, maybe you'll still get one...My mother got us our flatware for 24(same as she did for my sister).. and I didnt think his parents were getting us a gift cause they were suprised when others got us gifts, but then they went and got us a 27' tv !!!

Fiance and I have lived together for 3 years before we got engaged so we always gave a joint gift to both his mom and mine.

I am the same as firegal so we give a joint gift as well. Actually I think since i came into the picture is the only time she has gotten a gift from him.

We always give joint gifts to our parents (really we just buy something nicer from the both of us). Hmmm... Have to get working on that!

We will give them each a gift from the both of us. Except my mom is a brat when it comes to gifts so I will get her something from her grandson Benji.

my fiance really doesnt care for mothers/fathers day, the first year I was with him, I went out and got his mothers gift(with his money) we havent given joint gifts yet, but this is the first one since we've been engaged, and they did so much for me for easter.. edited to say: this is the first year I actually feel close enough to his mother that I feel I should buy something

Fh and I always gave my fmil and my mom a gift from both of us even before we were engaged. This year we are thinking of getting her a really nice watch or some new dinnerware.

i always gave her a card and a gift - last year, we had both families go out to lunch together....we took pics of us and our moms, both fmailies together and all - what we didn't know was that that was our last mother's day together....we are not using those exact pics at our wedding on a pic bd to celebrate fh's mom who will not be with us and treasure the memories from that day....to everyone, don't take it for granted and try to do something for your fmil..no matter how big or small..
