is champagne an ok color for a mother of the bride/groom dress? how would you feel if thats the color dress one of them bought?

I think champagne would be fine. It is not going to get confused with your white ( or ivory) dress. I wish my mom was looking at neutral colors,,,,she wants pink though...uugghh
