How about 'I Hope You Dance' by Lee Anne Womack. It's a song about encouraging someone you love to live life to the fullest.

My mom told me she knew someone in a similar situation and the parent and child (I think it was father daughter) danced to 'Happy Days are Here Again'.

I went to a wedding where the mother and son danced to
'take me out to the ballgame' they are really big baseball fans.
It was really cute and different.

If they know how they could do the LIndy! I have seen it done as a mother/son dance and it was adorable.
