Was doing VERY well on Weight Watchers but I 'Fell off the wagon' for almost 2 months now. And gained 3 of the 10 lbs I lost back.
I keep trying to get back on. I follow for a few days and then I just lose it. I can't even find the strength to get back on the elliptical which I was doing every day.
163 days til this wedding and I'm still 15 Lbs. from where I want to be and THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!!! There is already chocolate all over the office!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Motivated to lose weight
Find a friend to loose weight with. I'm doing that with a good friend of mine and we're setting realistic goals - i.e. 5 pds in 5 weeks type of thing, and taking it from there. You can totaly loose 15 pds by April, just pace yourself, and you should be fine.
We're also doing weekly weight check-ins with eachother as a way to keep eachother on track.

Were you going to WW meetings? If so, the first way to get back on track is to go back to a meeting!

Re: Motivated to lose weight
I agree the going to the WW meetings is a great way to loose weight. Being accountable to someone is a great motivator.
On the 2012 baord we are doing a weekly posting with what everyone has been doing. If you want feel free to post on there. I am also doing a weekly weigh in with a few friends.
When you are accountable I find that helps alot!

Re: Motivated to lose weight
I think that's what did it. I stopped going to the meetings. I couldn't go on Wednesdays like I used to and I didn't really like the Friday meeting leader. Maybe I should look at going to a different one.
I only have 1 friend who wants to lose weight, but our schedules are very different so her and I doing anything together is out.
I just can't seem to find the motivation anymore. Yea my clothes are tight and I hate every piece of clothing I own, but it doesn't stop me from feeling like I'm starving and opening the fridge for 'something'.
Every night I go to bed saying 'Tomorrow I'm starting all over. I'll have a 5 point breakfast, pack this and that for snacks', etc, etc, etc and I'm good thru lunch then BAM I'm at work Stressing out and someone had chocolate, then I need soda to wake up (I work nights) It really stinks

Re: Motivated to lose weight
I agree that getting to meetings is great motivation!
Also, if you're stressed and craving chocolate- thats fine. Eat chocolate! There are plenty of low point chocoaltely snacks out there (try the Vitabrownies or muffin tops- so good! or WW ice cream bars).
It's very tough losing weight, but the more results you see the more you'll stick with it!

Re: Motivated to lose weight
you need to sign up for something that you pay money to be movtivated so you really go and do it and dont feel like you have wasted money.
Just remeber how you feel now and use that as a motivator to do the right thing, even if its eating a little less, or drinkinf one more cup of water a day and not eating that extra bit of cake
EVERY BITE COUNTS!!!
Dr. oz actually had a whole program on how much calories add up when people pick, its the worst thing you can do ( I do it ALL the time!)

Re: Motivated to lose weight
Had done well for 6 months from election day to June of last yr and then summer came and I gained back the 15 I lost plus 7 none of my pants fit and I'm wearing leggings daily. I am so depressed about it but every time I get depressed I get hungry and fh. When the new la fitness opens by my house fh says we will join and do it together but right now I feel hopeless.

The one on Montauk Hwy? My FMIL just told me they were opening one up right there. I saw the sign driving by yesterday. I was looking into gyms too, just for the classes, and all the schedules clash with my work schedule so I'm HOPING the new LA Fitness class schedule will be good and I'll join.
Any idea when it's opening?
I used to go to the WW meeting right there too - next to the great south bay Shopping Center

Re: Motivated to lose weight
i've been on and off WW for yearsssss, but the greatest thing, is that you can always jump back on! You still have the tools and knowledge you need, you just need some help sticking to it and the meetings will help. I used to look forward to my weigh-in days and I really liked the conversations.
