Mover vent... (repost since it deleted itself)

We had gotten a quote from a certain moving company (I'll leave out the name so Ron doesn't get in trouble) a few weeks ago and it was decent. Then we call to book them and they say our stuff will arrive 3-5 days later. And for $1000 more than was quoted we could have it the next day. Not acceptable. So we decided to go with someone else.
They called DH just now to see what our decision was and Dh said we decided to go with someone else. He asked who and DH told him. The guy goes 'Oh, You know they don't actually do the moving, they contract out for that.' DH goes, 'ok, well whatever gets the job done.' So the guy (Billy) goes 'I thought you were American, but I guess I was wrong' and hung up on him!!!! DO you believe that???? How unprofessional and offensive! SO DH wrote them a letter and will probably call to make sure Billy doesn't dispose of the email.

(it was deleted automatically since it contained a certain phrase... so I'll keep it as a vent and if you want to know the name I'll tell you)

UPDATE--- Hopefully the antisemite will get in trouble or fired because the President emailed DH and apologized and wants to discuss it further. Nothing to discuss though, still not going with them.

I will say Sorry you had that problem. Lots of movers are shady. My SIL used Apollo Moving and they hit and overpass which took the top of the truck off and lost everything

Yeah, Ron said if a post tells people not to use someone it deletes automatically, since people could sue for that.
SO i made adjustments. But I have to get the word out.... it is now my mission in life.

that is awful! that's why trucks aren't allowed on certain thoroughfares. Stupidity. I hope the insurance covered it.

that is awful! that's why trucks aren't allowed on certain thoroughfares. Stupidity. I hope the insurance covered it.

Well the moved from Queens to Florida. SO You take 95 the whole way. Im not sure where they stopped for that to happen because on 95 there are no bridges. Insurance didn't cover it and they are suing. They also charged them a lot more then originally contracted for.

That's messed up.
We got a binding cost from our guys, so they can't charge us more than that. But the bad movers didn't have that and said it could go up, but there was no limit set. I was reading a good mover will tell you they won't charge you more than a certain amount.
