Movie night - what to rent?

Movie night - what to rent?

FH and I are hosting a movie night for our friends tonight, but I am totally blanking on a good movie to rent. I can't even think of a genre to narrow down the search.

Any ideas? What movies have you been wanting to see, whether for the first time or the 15th?

I just saw a bunch of good movies. I saw paycheck with ben affleck which was real good if u like movies where u try to guess along the way. i saw big fish which is sappy but cute and its the kinda move that ur not sure if u like it till the very end and then it all comes together. i also saw timeline which i loved. had a nice romance/historic period piece aspect to it.

Pirates of the Caribbean was a great flick. We rented it not too long ago and loved it. Perfect for the boys and the girls

I LOVED Big Fish .. but I'm not sure its the kind of movie that would appeal to everyone. Thought it is funny, dramatic, romantic and sappy all rolled into one!

Hmm .. we rent movies all the time and I'm drawing a blank here. Lemme think

Those are all great suggestions but I've seen them all pretty recently and am not ready yet to see them again.
What about any 'classic' comedies? Along the lines of Drop Dead Gorgeous - but not that one because all of our friends have seen it multiple times already.
Why can't I think of anything???

If you haven't seen Arlington Road yet, definitely rent that. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen, with Jeff Bridges, Joan Cusak and Tim Robbins. Definitely NOT a comedy but I don't know a single person who didn't think it was great.

Really? I've never even heard of it!
I think we've got a winner!

Yay!! God, it's awesome. It's a drama/suspense sort of and will have you guys on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end of the movie. Let me know how everyone likes it!
