Movie Review: Underworld

I heard really really bad things about it. hrmm..

FH really wanted to see it but this one critic who has always been on the mark for us (we've agreed with him often) dissed this movie big time.

Personally being a sci-fi/horror geek I feel this had a great concept but Id be bummed if they ruin it.

This is interesting that you liked it.

I heard it did have a GREAT werewolf transformation, though.

My DH and SIL's liked it and my brother who is hard to please with movies liked it to. He said is was better than any movie he has seen for the past 2 weeks and he goes to the movies atleast 3 times a week. I guess that everyone has different feelings about any movie. I never believe movie critics, I usually like to see it myself.

I agree with the critic statement.. but this particular one is a gold mine for us. He and we always seem to agree. You know.. you see a movie, make a personal review and line it up with his and they match? All my fears about this movie were clearly outlined in this review.

But yes, each to their own. Nomally I go into every movie with only ONE expectation, to be entertained. There doesnt have to really be a plot or a message, just make me happy and entertain me.

Underworld is different. As a die hard fan I have expectations. I want it 'real' and 'true' so I'd be bothered by vampires and werewolves in a secret war who go around tearing up public property like no one would notice. This is why I liked the second Blade movie so much.

Either way.. I know it's selfish of me and lazy, but I want others to go see it first and get a feel for the general reaction. Yours is the first positive I've heard and oddly enough Im more inclined to the positive review than the negative.
