Moving Costs? Reccomendations?

If we get the house (fingers crossed) we're plannning on using professional movers. I have no idea how much that will be. If you are comfortable posting it please share a ball park figure or FM me.

Also if you have any recommendations on movers I'd love to hear them. We'd be going from Western nassau to western suffolk.

We'll be moving everything from a fully furnished 3 bedroom apt with LR DR kitchen so if your move was comparable I'd really like to know what it cost.

Try Transolutions, I think they are based in bethpage. friends of mine as well as my sister used them and were very happy. I have no idea of the cost, but know it was reasonable. HTH

We used Tufano Family Moving and they were great. They were $109 an hour for 4 men.

I used men on the move. I think they were $700 for the whole move.

Question, if I may add to the post....if the movers charge by the hour do they have a minimum number of hours you have to take them for?

DH and I are moving out of a 2BR townhouse into a house that is 3 blocks away. It's not like there is 'travel time' to get to the next house so we might not need them as long as others would.
