Moving into OUR new apartment by myself

So the lease starts on FI and my very first apartment this afternoon...but its so bittersweet! FI is away in Korea for training (he's in the Army) for 2 months--I havent seen him since June and he's got one more month to go. So today I'm moving all of our stuff into the new apartment by myself

Its a memory I wish i could have shared with him. I know he's sad too that he cant be here for it...but thankfully my MOH (my best friend since middle school) is driving all the way to the apartment tomorrow morning (with some snacks and drink mixers) to help me unpack and start to set everything up (and celebrate my birthday)! I'm sad that FI wont be there, but I am sooo thankful that I am blessed enough to have such a wonderful friend who would give up her weekend to help me out and keep me company

aww! i am sorry to hear! I know that must be tough for the both of you!
i know you would want to share this moment with your fi, but i am sure there will be a lot of opportunities to share and make great memories.- like when he carries you through the threshold for the first time of your apartment, and your very first meal together!

Just think, you get to decided how everything is set up...

Its true--thats the good part about it...I can set up the whole place however I want and when he comes home its already done and he cant change it! But I did promise him no pink or purple

YAY! Just think he can come home and relax with you on the couch in your new apartment and unwind from training!
I'm sorry he's not here, but happy that you have such a wonderful friend to help you move!
And those ixers better have some rum to go in them!

it's tough, but you will be ok!! and just think, when he gets home, all he has to do is settle in.. you would have already made it a home for him too!!!

I'm so sorry You should still be very excited though and like all the girls said before, just set it up so that he can come home to his new home with you!! That will be so exciting!! I'm glad your MOH was able to be there for you.
