I know this has gone around before, but I am pretty annoyed with Fortunoffs. Most of my stuff is now 'special order'. But it is the stupid stuff like coffee pots and baking pans. I am sorry but I am not having some special order me a baking pan that you can get anywhere. I am still keeping my big stuff like china and luggage with Fortunoffs because that seems unafftected, but I am moving everything else over to BBB.

Re: Moving some of my registry
We did that back in July. we originally registered at Fortunoff and they have great things, but it was more convenient for everyone to have it on BBB instead.
Fortunoff only has NY area locations and we currently live OOT and so do a lot of our friends + FH's family. It would also be a lot harder for us with returns (our 6 bottle wine cooler came dented in the back but we didn't do anything about it because it's so heavy and it would have been more of a hassle to exchange)
BBB has an awesome return policy, has many of the same items, and more people know about the 20% coupons. Plus, it's located everywhere.
Luckily 2 of the items unique to our Fortunoff registry were purchased before we made the switch, so we ended up getting them anyway. We opened a small Macy's registry for the overlap that BBB didn't carry (like the glassware that matches our china)

Re: Moving some of my registry
After reading so many comments from so many unhappy brides, I felt compelled to respond. I'm the Bridal Director at Fortunoff - my email is [email protected] and office phone is 516 542-4292.
I would like to offer my personal assistance to every bride on this board that is thinking about moving their registry, has moved their registry, is having out of stock or discontinued items issues. Please contact me directly -- you have our committment and my promise that we'll make things right. We have a team of people working day and night to make sure this happens!

Re: Moving some of my registry
I made a post about this before...I have a BB&B registry and a Fortunoff registry. The items that come up 'special order' are for on-line customers only. If you go into the store the items are available! I made sure I checked this out. I too was going to move my registry.
As for Fortunoff taking BB&B coupons....they do but BB&B MUST carry the same item and the coupon can NOT be expired.

Re: Moving some of my registry
I chose to stick with Fortunoff's. I dont always like too much help when im shopping or registering, but when i do need, all i had to do is ask, and they were very knowledgable. They try to accomidate me, and if i will have problems, (none so far) ill just go straight to the manager. Wherever I am in the store.
