Anyone out there from Franklin Square? We're in the process of buying a great house there, and I've recently accepted a job at Mercy. Everything feels weird with me right now to be honest I'm kinda scared with all the changes. Well just wondering if there are any other couples in our area...it seems as if the neighborhood is mainly older couples.

I live in Franklin Square with my parents but recently bought a house in Farmingdale where FH is now living. Friends of mine recently moved here as well, I think by Polk Ave school.

Well we haven't moved in as yet but I've spent alot of time at the house this past week, its a new construction so we've been stopping by to check progress with the builder. I've tried to look around at the people in the neighborhood...and on all four sides the neighbors are over 50! I know it doesn't really matter but I'll get lonely, its a huge house and its only DH and I.

I grew up in Franklin Square, but we just bought a house in Levittown. In my parent's area a lot of young couples are moving in.

We live in FS! I LOVE it here.... Don't want to leave... Can't imagine EVER affording a house here though. We rent a HUGE apt. and will be staying here for a LONG time! There's a cute ranch down the road from us for sale...I checked it out...GORGEOUS kitchen, etc...house is going for $719k! Renter forever!

yeah pricing for homes on long island is getting to be ridiculous...ive looked at various real estate magazines and you can't get even a decent looking home for under $500,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is getting crazy!
But then again...the house I want is over $5 million so I guess I'm crazy too, hahaha.
