Mr Boots and religious persecution

Mr Boots and religious persecution

Mr Boots just texted me with barely contained jubilation...

'I have off for Good Friday!'

Except he's Greek and his Good Friday isn't for a month! I'm Catholic! I should get Good Friday off! Okay, well, I'm a lapsed Catholic. Okay fine! I'm pretty much an Agnostic, but still!

Of course I wouldn't go to church because the Veneration of the Cross squicks me, or even contemplate Easter besides the cake I have to bake. But I would be religious about my devotion to sleeping late and daytime tv!

Maybe I'll take off for his Good Friday!

I'm off on Good Friday as well!

I'm planning a day of Jesus Christ Superstar - the musical, the movie - the whole shebang....as a celebration

chris gets a paid holiday this friday. i don't get off for this good friday or greek good friday. even though i feel the same as you about the catholic church, a friday off would be nice and i wouldn't turn it down b/c of how i feel about the church.

Exactly! I called him and was all 'But you're not even Catholic!' He said 'You really aren't either!'

True, but I like days off!

I'm not sure, but I don't think it would involve laziness and daytime TV...maybe a little Jesus Christ Superstar...and probably a lot of thinking about God while calling your female children little sluts, therefore applying a double standard so thick you could cut it with a knife because your sons are out hooking themselves and your two youngest are...are...well, you jsut don't know because you don't pay any attention to them anyway.
