OOH!! I'm so excited for you!! Did Nick call you or did you call him to set this up? i was thinking about it last night - is this when you are also going to see pics of the cakes and pick that out? Have fun!! Can't wait to hear about everything and what you picked!!

Nick called me like a week and a half ago, he should of caled you by now i would think condisering you are 2 days after me. I dont know about cakes I would think we'd have to go to the Bakery for that, but i guess ill find out tomorro and tell you.

I know my 4 dinner choices will be:
chatau briand
chicked franchaise
stuffed shrimp and the
stuffed veal chop

yummy, definitely call him if he hasnt called you i will let you know how it went. How is the job search, are you all ready for the BIG DAY, talk to you soon

When you go to do the cake can you let me know exactly what happens? We still have a ways to go but I am curious if we have free reign with the cake or if its a limited choice...

I never realized you were a day apart either! There are three of us CLM on the 2005 board ;)

Nessa, just wanted you to know that the first time I ever had Chicken Francese was AT CLM in 2000. It was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi girls - I went to CLM to pick my menu and stuff Tueday night with Nick. He's the Best!! The place looks awesome - did you see the new brick work in the back and the beautiful waterfall in the front? Can't wait - coming really fast!!

Wow Michal lately i think im psychic...it must be true :)

It went great the deck looks insane your outdoor wedding will be BEAUTIFUL out there! We changed the shrimp to the Sea Bass. ANd as far as the cake Nick asked me 'so did you go to the bakery and pick out a cake yet' i thought we had to wait for him but i guess we can just call Black Forest or Bella Vita? and pick out our own stuff and say we are Chateau brides. Isnt this exciting Michal our weddings are gonna be beautiful, let me know when your going?

I think Black Forest does the cakes and Bella Villa does the cookies and pastries... :)

How did the planning go? After you do the cake can you let me know how that goes as well?

Nick said i could go to either for the Cake. ALl of the other planning was really easy there. We added the Viennese I love desserts , and Nick talked my dad into it im so excited. I locve CLM so much, let me knwo if you need any help im here.

I just wanted to say my aunt used to live in Lindenhurst & go to Black Forest for Holidays & their cakes are always yummy!

Hey,
Both of the bakeries do the cakes. You go to a tasting at each and you decide which bakery you want them to use. I asked cause I have a pic of a cake I'm afraid no one will make or will cost me an arm and leg and Nick was telling me how it works. If thespecific cake you want is more than the CLM set cake fee, then you pay the difference.
So, there was still no staircase in the lobby leading down, huh? Where is my staircase? Nick keeps telling me the chapel is almost done and last time he said they would be totally finished with the renovations by the end of May, and still there is no staircase and chapel! GRRRRR!

That place was great. I was the MOH for my sisters wedding. I wanted to choices. I got one then they brought me a complete second plate. I had the stuffed shrimp and the chat. briand. Both were great.

I finally spoke to Nick last night and we are going on the 22nd - so excited!! I have heard about Black Forest but not about the other bakery and he recommended Black Forest so we are going to try and see them on the same day. I can't wait to see the dock!! Pray for god weather for me so we can use it!!! Nick also thanked me because he said that girls have been coming in and saying they hear all about CLM on the boards from me and Nessa!!

I didn't see a staircase when I went- and I heard that the chapel and new bridal suite wouldn't be ready until next spring? Maybe I got the info wrong...

The porch looks great-- they are doing a lot of landscaping I heard as well.

Anyone know what they're doing to the Blue Room?

Two people from with the other day went to a wedding there and loved it! They said the service was great (I asked specifically about things they mention, like one waiter per table, getting up for drinks, etc) and they said all of it is true! YAY!

How much extra is the vienese?

They did offer some nice choices in the 'included price' but I really wanted a basketweave for the icing and we had to pay an additional $75 dollars for that. Their cakes are awesome everyone was telling me that it was the best wedding cake they ever had. We ate the left overs the next morning for breakfast. They have good filling choices as well. We went with the chocolate fudge with raspberry in one layer...hmmmmm what I wouldn't do to live next door to Black Forest bakery. Thankfully, for my thighs I don't.
