MS donation

Instead of doing favors for out wedding we wanted to to a donation in the name of all out guests to multiple sclerosis. Its a disease that has affected many in my family and friends. We e-mailed many people about our plan and have not yet heard back from ANY of them. i know people that have done the donation as favors but any one i contact about this just ignores us. Is anyone else doing this? if you have any info on this subject please let me know how you went about doing it. The weddings i have went to that have done the donations were given scrolls to leave on the tables for the guests to read telling them what we did. Im not concerned about getting the scrolls since i have some of my own ideas of how to tell the guests but it is the fact that no one is getting back to me. you would think they want our money.

we are doing a donation to the Long Island Chapter of MS- my godmother has it and we are doing it in her honor. My best friend also did this and she got the bracelets from them to give to her guests- here is a link for that in case you are interested.
