Re: Mugging where I LIVE....

thats so upsetting - My little brother was ripped off in school today! he was participating in sports after school, and someone broke into his locker and stole his wallet (with plenty of cash and giftcards from his birthday) and his iPod that he worked and saved for months to buy. He knows he shouldn't have had it in school, but he figured if it was locked up, it would be ok. He feels so guilty, he was crying.

The poor kid (he's a freshman) just worked his butt off for a couple weeks to have $$ for xmas gifts (he knows he doesn't have to, but always buys everyone a little something), and some pr*ck stole from him! I was so upset, i found out 4 hrs ago and I still have a knot in my stomach. I wish I had the $$ to give him to replace it.

The school refused to involve the cops, and unfortunately my parents were unreachable at the time (MD appt.) Dad said he'll call the principal tomorrow and get the police involved too.

It had to be one of his team members, as they were the only ones who had access to the lockers. This upsets me so much! We live in such a nice area...

Don't be too scared. Where i live there have been plenty of sootings, etc. i'm not afriad. you can't live in fear. Just be careful, and if it makes you feel better, get one of those personal alarms or something.

That is so horrible! I feel so bad for your brother.... I can't believe the school wouldn't involve the police (well, I can but it's not right). A criminal act took place and I hope your parents are able to get the cops involved. I also hope someone comes forward that knows something. What is the matter with some people?

Re: Mugging where I LIVE....

I'm sorry Maybride, i feel like I hijacked your post.

But this is really upsetting to me! The school won't file a police report because it goes on the school's record and apparently has something to do with state aid? So political - the kid wants his stuff back!

muggings and things of that nature I hate saying happens everywhere. That is one reason I am trying to get involved in more community things to maybe beef up security for us.

Shorty, I am so sorry about your brother.
