Hi! I am new to this reception hall search and am having some trouble. Originally, when I thought about looking for a reception hall, I wanted one that had only one event at a time. However, many of them are out of my price range or I am not thrilled by them. I am interested in looking at Chateau La Mer, Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor. (as well as flowerfield which is one wedding but ridiculously expensive!!) Do any of you have any information on how those venues work in respect to the two weddings at a time? Do you see the other guests? Any information would be helpful!!

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
I BOOKED WESTBURY MANOR I ALSO WENT TO A WEDDING THERE THE GUEST DO NOT SEE EACH OTHER IT IS VERY PRIVATE. THATS WHY I PICKED IT. I DONT LIKE IT WHEN A PLACE HAS 3, 4 WEDDINGS AT A TIME. THE FOOD THERE IS EXCELLENT THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. I GOT A GREAT PRICE FOR A JUNE WEDDING. I WOULD RECOMMED WESTBURY MANOR. WELL I HOPE THAT HELPED YOU OUT.

I'm not sure about fox hollow but chateau la mer & westbury manor both host 2 weddings at a time. We are having our wedding at the milleridge cottage, it is affordable and they are a one wedding at a time venue. HTH

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
You may want to try looking at Land's End. It hosts only one event at a time. Land's End is owned by the same people as Flowerfield, so you may like it there. It is also a bit cheaper than Flowerfield (not much haha, but a little and every bit counts !)

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
The East Wind (where I booked) can have up to 4 weddings at a time. 2 in the inn, 1 in the Estate and 1 at the Country Gardens. I went to a wedding there at the inn and I didn't see any other bride or guests so they do a nice job keeping everyone separate.
Good luck!

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
I don't know anything about those places in particular but I do know any of the places I looked at in my search that had more than one wedding at a time said they are extremely diligent in making sure that the brides don't see each other. They have walkie talkies and/or are constantly communicating. I don't think there would be anything to worry about. I was turned off by it at first but then I realized that most places are like that and I trust them enough to do what they have to to keep all brides happy.
Although I'd be so infatuated with my husband anyway, I don't know if I would notice

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
You should check out country clubs. They usually are only one wedding at a time. We went to the Hamlet in commack which was beautiful but a little pricey so then we went to check out the Hamlet in Mt. Sinai and loved it(pics in album)!! I've heard the Hamlet in Hauppauge is nice as well....Can you tell I'm a 'Hamlet' fan! Soo pretty.

Re: Multiple weddings at a time
I am getting married at Chateau La Mer...they have two weddings but they staggered the receptions 2-3 hours...if you have the main room you pretty much have the run of the place...
