Have any of you guys picked your wedding song or any other songs you want played at the ceremony....ie cake cutting, dance with father..... i dont have a clue of what i want yet!!!

The only time i think of a song is when im listening to sirius in the car, i love channel 3 wich is the love station, all love songs all the time...but i always forget to write stuff down, also for some weird reason im into oldies like the 60's and 70's stations, i hear songs and go i want this played at my wedding...but always forget to keep notes!

a few i picked out: ceremony: definately canon in D Father daughter dance: either wind beneath my wings, or butterfly kisses our first dance im thinkin: Inspiration, here and now, or Love of a lifetime

the only song we have picked out is for our first dance, we're dancing to All I Ask of You from phantom of the opera. But that's only if the band or DJ (we haven't decided yet) can cut out the part where he sings Christine in the end because clearly that is not my name.

I love that channel 3.....I listen to it online at work on and off and started a list of songs I like! I know what you mean though....most times I forget which ones they were!!!

Just a thought ... A friend of mine who got married a few months ago gave me a really useful tip!
She told me that she bought herself a little notebook and carried it around (and a pen) in her purse. Anytime she was in the car and she heard a song she wanted played at her rehearsal, or saw some kind of website that she wanted to check out later (a florist, etc), she jotted it down.
I started doing it, and I have a ton of great songs for the reception that I wouldn't have remembered!

Our wedding song is Thank You by Led Zeppelin F/D dance is I only have eyes for you (he used tosing it to me when i was a baby) We're coming out to Obla Di Obla Da- was playing on the shuttle right b4 we got engaged (and I'm a Beatles FREAK!!) And we want the last song to be Con Te Partiro (Time to Say Goodbye) by Andrea Boccelli and Sarah Brightman

Our music is like a set list right now. I told Fh we need to loosen it up a bit otherwise I might as well setup a cd player with some amps.
We have our song, F/D dance, his dance with his sister, if we do a bq/garter toss music, cake cuttiing, first song to be played, last two songs to be played, our enterance music, etc.
The only thing we do not have is the bp enterance music and ceremony music (no CLUE), We are even making a cd for the cocktail hour for the dj to play. We are complete music control freaks comming from bands all our lives.
I would make lists out to what you want played and what you DO NOT want played. Everyone warned me they were miserable when they didn't do that because songs they hated were spun or songs they forgot about and then realized they wanted played and the dj didn't have.
