What style band are you looking for? I am having a DJ with live music. They play together. Its really cool. Made my dad happy because he really wanted live music.

I saw Full House, Code Bleu, and Body Heat perform live. They are all in the $6000-7000 range.

We booked Code Bleu b/c we fell in love! The other two were great also though.

HTH!

Re: music...

are you're parents paying or are you paying? If you're paying, tell the parentals to get over it and you're having a dj.... if they are paying for, maybe suggest what previous post said about the dj with the live musicians (best of both worlds)

if they are paying for it go for th band!!! they usually play better music than dj's and some come with a dj anyway

If your parents are paying I would def go with a band if I were you! I saw The Projekt, Times Square Orchestra and Code Bleu in person and FH and I fell in love with The Projekt!! They are phenomenal!

i agree, if you are paying for it, then do what you want, but if you're parents are paying for it, then compromise and do a dj w/ live performers type of combo deal.

i started off wanting a dj... esp since it's so much cheaper... but now i think i'm leaning more towards a band.. they can bring a crowd to life differently than a dj can.
