Music for the Video
I know this has been posted before, but I wanted to get an idea of what songs people are using for their videos. I have to pick one for the photo montage, one for the cocktail hour, and one for the recap at the end, I think. Any suggestions?

Re: Music for the Video - long
First, I will say that I think it is very important to use music that has special meaning to you and your husband. Remember that you will be looking at this video for years to come, and you'll want to enjoy hearing the music as much as seeing the video. That being said, the musis selection for our video were very personal choices. I'll give one example. My hubby and I happened to live in northern California for part of our courtship and marriage, so we chose 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' as one of our special songs on the wedding day, and in the cocktail hour portion of our video.
Other special songs we chose were 'Singin' in the Rain' as the song for our baby/dating pics in the video, but it was also the song for our entrance into our reception. We wanted something elegant and upbeat, instead of 'sporting event wild.'
Our first dance song was 'At Last' by Etta James. We used this song for the recap/memory montage portion of the video.
The final music selection was for the receiving line portion of the video, and we wanted a song that was a standard/classic to blend with the rest of the music that was special to us. We chose 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong.
Again, I recommend choosing music that is special to your relationship - it will make the video much richer in sentiment for years and years to come.
Best of luck!

Re: Music for the Video - long
I agree with Claud2001. When all is said and done, you have to be happy with the final product. I choose songs that told the story and songs that meant something to us.Baby montage - what a wonderful world
Getting dressed and leaving my house - Going to chapel
cocktail hour - instrumental from a CD I bought my husband when we first started dating.
recap - I've had the time of my life
honeymoon - Is this love by Bob Marley (we honeymooned in Jamaica and we are from the caribbean).

Natasha...your selection gave me chills....I can so relate....On our cd favor, we used a Bob Marley song too. We are definitely using Going to the chapel for the going to the church/arriving at the church portion...For the baby montage.. it might be thru the years by Kenny Roger....we are still undecided on the rest!!!
