MUSIC HELP!!!

I need major help with the DJ thing..I am having a hard time finding one that I really like. I have been going to bridal expos and I have not been seeing anything spectacular. I do not want anything cheezy.. I was hoping to have a fairly young MC, that plays all kinds of music and does not harass any of my guests..I was going to get a band, but I feel like I want to spend more money on my pictures than on the music. I have heard Odyssey productions, and thought they were okay, minus the dancers..I saw Dance jock and they were not my style..ANY SUGGESTIONS?? Also, I am not crazy about Tommy Tunes..

Call me @ my office tomorrow @ 473-7752 + I'll make some suggestions of DJs that of the ilk that you are looking for (unfortunately not so easy to find! A few years ago I was doing a party with an older crowd + the young idiot played the new dance mix version of "In the Mood" instead of the original, which would have been much more appropriate. I don't even think he knew about the original!) Most of my customers go through the same delemna. Unbelievable!

For whatever its worth to you - I've heard nothing but bad experiences from friends who have bought their dresses there. One friend spent over $5000 on a Diamond Collection Gown. Ordered it 5 months before her wedding. Called for weeks on end for a status update and got the run around - her dress arrived 2 WEEKS BEFORE HER WEDDING DATE.

They did alter it in time - but such a hassle! She had to travel 3 times from Stony Brook to their store within the last 2 weeks before the event.

Hi. I am using Spin Around Sound. Tom the owner is awesome. Very hip and knowledgable about music. I watched an hour video of his work. Not cheesy, low key DJ, no obnoxious MC or dancers. But no one was sitting down. He has several packages. I dont have his # on me but they have a website www.spinaroundsound.com. Check him out. MUSIC HELP!!! - Odyssey

We are using Odyssey productions for our wedding. I thought Tony was great! He has a lot of energy, but is flexible enough to cater to our requests - we do not want anybody "cheezy" or overly obtrusive, either. I agree - the dancers were not for us either. The thing about most of the DJs today is that in order to survive in this market, they all have to be able to provide a range of entertainment to suit the needs of many different people. Granted some will be better at some things than others, but in the end, you should be able to dictate what the pace of your wedding should be.
